Applicants for Senior Lecturer/Lecturer should have at least a Masters Degree and/or PhD from a credible institution.  Those for the post of Instructor should have a minimum qualification of a Bachelors Degree (BAH) with Credit.

The post holder’s area of specialization is open but preference will be given to an expert in Classics and any related field. The ability to contribute to the teaching of ancient languages (Greek/Latin) will be an added advantage. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:

  1. Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students

  2. Conducting research in their area of specialisation

  3. Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student projects within the Department

  4. Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department

  5. Being part of academic consultants within the broader areas of the department
