Centre for Social Research (CSR)
The Centre for Social Research has an establishment of 11 academic and administrative staff. It housed by the Faculty of Social Science at Chancellor College. CSR’s activities include:
- Appraising, maintaining and evaluating development activities in Malawi
- Undertaking applied research to generate information on priority problems of the country and channel the information to policy makers and planners
- Training government and other development agency personnel in monitoring, evaluation and research methods techniques
- Promotion of the efficient exchange of information and experiences within the field of Social Sciences by organizing local and regional conferences
- Collecting/documenting information on social science research and general development on Malawi to be accessible to researchers in Malawi
